Association of Surgical Education: Ethics of Surgery Fellow

Vishalkumar G. Shelat, FRCS, FEBS, FAMS, is a Senior Consultant in Hepato-biliary and Pancreatic Surgery at Tan Tock Seng Hospital, Singapore, and Adjunct Associate Professor at Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine. He holds dual postgraduate qualifications in Healthcare Ethics and Law from the University of Manchester and Surgical Ethics from Washington University in St. Louis. A Fellow of the International Society for Quality in Healthcare (ISQua), Dr Shelat also serves on national ethics committees and has published extensively on clinical ethics, patient safety, and surgical quality. He is an active faculty member in medical ethics education and contributes to surgical ethics guideline development and medico-legal discourse in Singapore.
